Luz Mosquera is a freelance journalist with experience writing on a wide range of topics. When writing for the Arusha Times, a local newspaper in Tanzania, he wrote on a variety of local-interest subjects, including the Blue Sky School, a boarding school for children from the surrounding impoverished communities. Being given a guided tour around the school and speaking to both the staff and students, he saw first-hand the benefits the various group activities and lessons had on the well-being of the students, which sparked an interest in covering similar matters and issues back in England.
While studying English Literature and Language at Birmingham City University, Luz was a regular contributor to the university paper, Spaghetti Junction. He currently writes on a freelance basis, as well as on promotional material for the Woodland Trust.
